Monetary donations, even in small amounts, are appreciated and help us build our businesses and our programs. Because we are a state funded organization, we follow the state’s requirements regarding paid staff available to assist the artists in their work activities. Volunteer opportunities are based on applications received, however everyone in the community is welcomed and urged to come into Studio 8 Ten during our business hours to interact with the individuals, encourage them in their projects, ask questions, and buy the products they make. Hiring our cleaning and yard crews is also an important way to help us meet our program and financial goals. These are the most important thing anyone can do as it fosters the pride and self-worth these individuals need to feel connected to their community through their businesses.

The opportunities created by starting and maintaining small businesses are large, but the cost of supplies to maintain these businesses can often get overwhelming.

Any donations of these supplies are helpful when they are new, or gently used in good working condition. Some of the items we replace on a regular basis include: (CRAFT) scissors, straight-edged paper trimmers, die cut machines and dies, cardstock, glue sticks, tissue paper, stamping ink, acrylic and tempera paint, measuring cups, soap molds, all kinds of fabrics, sewing machines, sewing essentials, scrapbook papers, fabric dye, paintbrushes, blenders, screen printing equipment and supplies, and paper shredders; (CLEANING & YARD) large trash bags, dust pans, toilet brushes, rags, sponges, vacuums, liquid cleaning agents, gas powered lawn mowers, weed wackers, hedge clippers, pruners, long handled dust pans, rakes, mops, and brooms.
